Meet Our Teams

Draft Horses are known for their gentle and dependable demeanor as well as the ability to pull three times their weight. We use Percherons, a French breed with some Arab blood and Belgians, currently the most popular draft breed in the U.S. Our horses weigh between 1800 and 2000 lbs each.

Samuel and Adams

Grey Percheron show geldings born in Canada and ribboned in various driving competitions. They are currently steel gray slowly turning into dazzling white. They have a beautiful high-stepping gait, they almost float over the ground. This is our most elegant team. . 

Nickel and Dime

These geldings were born black and are now almost all  white horses. These guys are the steady Eddies of our horses, dependable with a willingness to do any job. . We bought Nick & Dime from an Amish Farm in Ohio.

Tom and Jerry

Are half brothers and beautifully matched.  They both have a wide blaze and one white stocking.  Standing straight and tall these horses keep their heads up high when moving along in harness.  They are just a joy to watch when trotting.

Only 4 and 5 years old Rex and Rocket were purchased in late 2010 from a farm in  New York.  What a wonderful pair of all round good guys.  Rocket will is going to be a whopping 19 hands and Rex is just a beautiful classic Percheron.
